Family Therapy
Family therapy is meant to improve relationships within the family dynamics that create better communication, resolve conflicts, reduce distress, building empathy and understanding, and creating healthy boundaries.
Family therapy looks different for every family and even between family members. How family therapy is conducted within Aspen Therapeutics is that a parent, both when possible, or legal guardian is involved throughout because that is how to facilitate the most success. Sessions can be the whole family, just siblings, parent(s)/legal guardian only, or any other combination. When its a child as the client, depending on the age, there will be some sessions with parent(s)/legal guardian present and others without.
At Aspen Therapeutics, family therapy is able to be provided for those ages 6 and older, and address a variety of difficulties and issues.
